Housing Initiative

Stepping Forward LA

Stepping Forward LA's Housing Initiative helps young adults who have experienced foster care navigate the process of finding and maintaining independent housing. Staff work with each participant to create an individualized housing plan based on their finances, employment, housing needs, education, and support system. The program can connect participants with housing vouchers, low-income housing opportunities, and partner organizations. After housing is secured, participants can continue receiving support from peer coaches, SFLA staff, and adult co-mentors during their first year in their new home.
