Middle Class Scholarship for Foster Youth
California Student Aid Commission (CSAC)
The Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) provides additional financial aid to eligible undergraduate students in California. Foster youth receive enhanced support through the program: eligible foster youth can have 100% of their remaining cost of attendance covered after other financial aid and the required student contribution are considered. Cost of attendance can include more than tuition, such as housing, food, books, supplies, transportation, and other education-related expenses. Eligible schools include University of California campuses, California State University campuses, and participating California Community Colleges offering qualifying bachelor’s degree programs.
